Being a photographer, I love exploring and finding cool new locations to take photos. While I enjoy the touristy landmarks that a city is known for, I really love getting off the beaten path and finding spots that not many know about. This makes a location all the more special because it is like your hidden gem. Your photos then become one of kind. So guess what? I am going to let you in on a little secret… I am going to let you know my top 5 favorite locations.
- Newsom’s Mill- I have just stumbled across this and it is one of my favorite places at the moment! There are so many fun and different picture opportunities because there is the old mill remains, the Harpeth River, train tracks, bridges and many hiking pathways.
- Downtown Franklin- I love everything about Franklin, especially it’s cute historic feel to it. There are picture opportunities that can be found on every street from the alley ways to the brick walls to the benches. One of my favorite Franklin photos, happened to be down an alley next to a dumpster. You would never know it just by looking at it.
- Washington Oaks State Park- This is my favorite beach on Florida’s east coast. Everytime I go, I basically have the beach to myself. Because its a state park, it super clean and well kept. It also has these amazing rocks that are a picture perfect location!
- Your Own Backyard- Sometimes the best location happens to be in your own backyard! The perk to this location is that you do not have to travel far at all! Another perk is that you can set up whenever you want and you do not have to lug around your props.
- Old Barns- There is just something about old barns that I just love. They are a real treasure because the older it is, the more character it has.The possibilities are endless… you just have to explore!
