More Than Just Photos
Aaron Siskind once said, “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” This is one of the reasons why I love photography so much! I am not just pressing the button and creating an image, I am capturing a moment in time that will be cherished for a lifetime especially with weddings. The joyous occasion of a couple becoming husband and wife is very special and I love that I get to be there to capture their extraordinary day. A couple’s wedding day usually goes by so quickly and they are so focus on each other that it is easy for them to miss the little details of their day. That is why I make sure I capture every special thing about their wedding so when they look back at their pictures, they relive the best day of their lives all over again.
Another thing about photos is that they can be shared with generations to come because a fraction of a second was captured forever. Once these moments are gone, they are impossible to reproduce. The camera is able to produce more than what the eye can see. Photography has the ability to store emotion and feelings within a frame. I love that fact that I get to share a captured moment with other people. Years later, they are able to share the photos and stories with their grandchildren. Photography brings the past into the present when you look at it. I am helping people’s story live on even when they are no longer here to tell it themselves. It is part of their legacy. Photography is more than just photos; it is memories that have been captured forever.
